Top load vs front load washing machine: which one should you buy?
By Pappu, Pappu Electric Stores · Published · Updated
Front load is gentler and saves water; top load is quicker and easier on the back. Here is how to decide for your home.
Front load machines clean more gently, use less water and usually spin faster, so clothes come out drier. They need a little more time per cycle and a firm, level floor.
Top load machines are faster, let you add clothes mid-cycle and are easier to load without bending. Fully automatic top load machines are the most popular choice in many Indian homes.
Pick capacity by family size: about 6 kg for two or three people, 7 to 8 kg for a family of four, and 9 kg or more for larger families. If your water supply is limited or hard, ask us which models handle it well.
